Divine Delay

Esther 6:2-3

And it was found written how Mordecai had told about Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, who guarded the threshold, and who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. And the king said, “What honor or distinction has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” The king’s young men who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.”

Mordecai should have been honored immediately, so why the delay? Why the oversight?

Mordecai’s honor was delayed because God planned to raise him up later.

Mordecai was overlooked because God knew what was coming later.

Our lives are in the hands of the One who knows the end from the beginning, the One who holds our lives in his hands.

God has not forgotten about you.

Sometimes our delay is divine.
