God is Always Kind

Psalm 145:13b-15, ESV

[The LORD is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.] The LORD upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season.

God is kind in all His works. 

Everything God does displays His kindness. It’s the kindness of God which leads to repentance (Romans 2:4)—not condemnation, not hatefulness, not accusation…kindness. Even in conviction, God is kind.

So if you’re in a season in which it feels like God is being unkind, then just know that there’s something you can’t yet see. God is only good and only does good. Trust in that goodness and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). And in due season, the kindness of God will be revealed to you.
