Our Tears Matter to God

Psalm 56:8, ESV

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?

Revelation 7:17, ESV

For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

This message is going to be short, but sweet:)

I believe someone needs to be reminded today that your tears matter to God. 

He is not flippant about them. 

He is not looking down and saying, “suck it up.” 

He is grieved by our grief (John 11:35).

He cares. He keeps them. He records them.

And one day he will wipe them all away.

Oh Lord, our Heavenly Father, full of compassion and mercy. Thank You for your loving compassion for us, and help us to feel that loving compassion for the tears of others. Amen.
